Who you are:
The Placement Operations Coordinator role is a critical position on the Academic Exchanges Team, which supports both the inbound private sector J-1 program and the Grants inbound programs. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the team with pre-arrival and post-arrival projects, including but not limited to application review, supporting compliance procedures, and day-to-day operations. This includes coordination with international representatives, government agencies, field staff, local coordinators, students, volunteer host families, and other CIEE teams.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the inbound high school exchange program
- Review student and host family applications, following U.S. Department of State guidelines and regulations
- Communicate effectively across teams and with different stakeholders as a representative of CIEE
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
- Excellent Organizational and time management skills with regularly shifting priorities
- Ability and willingness to remain flexible, shifting between projects based on the seasonality of the program, as directed by the supervisor
- Meticulous attention to detail in a very fast-paced environment
- Strong, professional, written and verbal communication skills
- Intercultural communication experience a plus
- Fast learner of new technology, systems, procedures, and policies
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Salesforce, and other IT skills helpful
