Columbia River Carbonates is seeking a talented, skilled, safety conscientious Plant Electrician with industrial experience to join our team. Must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude who pays great attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial manufacturing processes.

This is a regular, full-time, hourly position at our industrial manufacturing plant located in Woodland, WA, which operates 24/7, 365. The expected work schedule is Monday-Friday (days) with required, “on-call” duties which may include night and weekend work when necessary. All scheduling is based on plant needs and candidates must be able to accommodate.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on electrical equipment within our plant.

1) Inspect, maintain repair and overhaul electromechanical and solid-state electrical equipment, using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools and equipment.

2) Responsible for completion and maintenance of the plant electrical/mechanical preventive maintenance program.

3) Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and CRC electrical standards.

4) Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for Project facilities and equipment.

5) Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations.

6) Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers, contractors, and the public.

7) Cut and remove trees, branched and brush in close proximity to energized power lines.

8) Lead a work party in performing maintenance or repair work.

9) Comply with and practice proper equipment clearance procedures.

10) Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety, and environment regulations.

11) Responsible for station lockout/tagout procedures as mandated by CRC policy.

12) Other related incidental work as needed.

PREFERRED/REQUIRED SKILLS ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL

*Preferred- Journeyman Electrician’s license through the state of Washington and/or Oregon.

*Required-

· High School diploma and 2 years of experience performing electrical maintenance work on production or facilities equipment.

· Ability to perform preventive maintenance, installations, diagnose and correct problems with conveyor systems, pumping systems, hydraulic systems, compressed air systems and lighting systems.

· Controlling downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques.

· Lay out and install electrical appliances such as plugs, switches, and lights

· Follow blueprints and specifications to install electrical wires, cables, and conduit systems.

· Experience with motors and motor controls, electrical switchgear, 3 phase-480v service and 3 phase-4160v service.

· Have PLC and VFD drive knowledge.

· Installation and setup AC drive units.

· Conducts root cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtime, etc.

· Ensure work is completed in accordance with company safety procedures and local building/electrical code.

· Be able to perform basic welding tasks.

· Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic controls.

· Understanding of NFPA 70E code.

· Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

· Ability to work without direct supervision.

· Input and update information in computerized maintenance management software.

· Basic mathematic skills.

· Safe working history.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Demonstrated an excellent attendance history.

· Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.

· Team oriented and self-motivated.

· Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

· Ability to use hand tools.

· Able to accept “on-call” responsibility.

· The flexibility to work any shift, rotating shifts and/or weekends and holidays.

· Communicate with team, contractors, and suppliers.
