POSITION SUMMARY

The HVAC Service Technician reporting to the HVAC Install Manager and Brand President is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential and some commercial customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential and some commercial customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
• Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
• Be available to work nights, weekends, on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of our customers.
• Maintain good working order of company vehicles including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be clean and organized inside & washed on a regular basis
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Maintain and submit daily mileage log forms (on time sheets)
• Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices at the job site. Obtain customer signatures on invoices. Obtain correct customer information including email address.
• Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial #, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain fully to the customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct the issue.
• Participating in a company provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
• Identify potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services and provide proposals.)
• Follow up on proposals/leads and get work scheduled.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with HVAC systems.
• Self-starter with a proven track record of efficiently and effectively managing multiple high-priority tasks, projects, and initiatives.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills with experience working in a team environment.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
