The ideal candidate for this role is someone with Porter/Maintenance experience at a luxury residential property. A person who enjoys meeting new people and creating a welcoming environment. Knowledge of valet parking operations is a plus!

Position Description:

The purpose of the Porter is to maintain the day-to-day operation of the building by delivering packages, newspapers, mail, etc. to residents of the property. Handling maintenance issues, valet parking duties and daily set up/take down of furniture.

Responsibilities:

  • The Porter is responsible for providing residents with stellar service and handling resident requests. At the request of property management, the Porter handles light maintenance duties and recognize and escalate maintenance duties as they arise. The Porter is to set up and/or take down furniture for daily building activities. Additional valet parking duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service & maintenance experience.
  • Adhere to APC location site Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and site-specific training.
  • Well groomed, professional appearance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Weekend and evening availability required. Flexible availability; ability to provide coverage when requested.
  • Ability to operate a stick shift vehicle preferred not required (site specific).
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Physical demands described in this job description must be met in order to perform essential job functions.
  • Additional ad hoc duties as assigned.


Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of high-end residential or hotel experience as Bellman, Porter, Door Attendant, Greeter, Server, Host, Traffic Control, Valet Associate.
  • Shift leader, Supervisor, Manager or Leadership positions in industries such as luxury, residential buildings, retail, warehouse, security, hotel, hospitality, restaurant, porters.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Schedule can be altered based on company needs.

Regular hours are 7a-3p Monday through Friday. May require evenings and weekends*
