Primary Responsibilities:

• Value Stream point of contact supporting commercial and military program responsible for CMS reports and communication with Engineering Leadership
• Execute the monthly and quarterly financial closing process including the preparation of technical related journal entries, forecast and variance explanations
• Execute all financial planning and analysis activities for the various Connected Aviation Solution businesses including the development of all short and long term financial plans, forecasts, and operational metrics.
• Ability to work closely with a cross functional team and provide timely and accurate financial data that helps drive appropriate engineering business decisions and resolves issues.
• Ability to effectively analyze financial data and communicate financial information internally and externally to the program and product lines.
• Preparation of monthly resource reconciliations
• Ad hoc reporting/financial analysis as requested by engineering leadership
• Coordinate and provide guidance to the technical areas as they develop, and plan and analyze tasks;
• Provide guidance to Engineering Leadership to ensure adherence to the Earned Value Management System (EVMS);
• Perform risk assessments and scenario analyses associated with task budgeting and program performance;
• Support Monthly Program Review preparation activities;
• Support monthly Program Estimate-at-Completion reviews;
• Facilitate monthly data reconciliation;
• Ensure the proper implementation of EVMS through the use of standardized processes, tools, and reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience demonstrating linkage between business transactions/financial statements and Engineering Demand and Forecast
• Experience working with Balance Sheets, Cost Analysis, P&L Analysis, Cash Flow statements and the ability to derive Engineering commitments
• Working experience with SAP or Hyperion (HFM) Planning, CostPoint, Deltek, etc.
• Working experience with Tableau, PowerBI, PowerPivot, Get and Transform (PowerQuery)
• Experience working with large data sets and the ability to write macros as needed to align data
• Intermediate excel skills, including pivot tables, V-lookups, If-Statements
• Experience with ERP systems
• Ability to work independently and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills along with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Spot, identify, analyze problems and communicate recommendations effectively to multiple levels of the organization

Qualified candidates must be able to communicate effectively and coordinate amongst a diverse team of individuals. Strict attention to detail and relentless internal and external customer satisfaction focus is required to ensure the team meets the aggressive demands of military compliance programs.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Preference for major or concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience working with business analytics, finance, and/or forecasting
• High proficiency with MS Excel
• Strong analytical and trending skills
• Experience with Earned Value Management;
• Focused on results with the ability to drive tasks to completion;
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills – energetic, proactive, and solution-oriented;
• General understanding and openness to continuous improvement principles (e.g. CORE);
• Demonstrated effectiveness working across functions, organizations, and levels of management;
• Comfortable executing under the pressures of a highly active environment;
• Strong oral and written communication skills and a professional demeanor; and
• Knowledge of our Program Management toolset (i.e. SAP, Dassian, eCSVAR, and Primavera).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
