LOCATION

IFG Companies is hiring in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and case-by-case in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. Applicants must reside in one of these states to be hired. Remote and flexible work arrangements are provided to all employees based on manager approval.

SALARY RANGE

The expected salary range is $40,000 to $50,000 and subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Company.

OBJECTIVE

Support the Financial Department’s goals and objectives and contribute income to the Corporation through an audit process on policies with a variable premium base.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review audits received from vendors and verify or correct the audited classes and exposures.
• Return the audit to the vendor for corrections.
• Utilize the Premium Audit system to document auditable actions.
• Review completed audits that were previously estimated and revised.
• Notify Underwriting when all required information has been received to rescind non-comply.
• Work with underwriting to obtain rates for added classes and/or advise of operations change.
• Explain premium audits and disputed audits to agents, insured and field auditors, as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Premium Audit Manager.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

• Ability to review vendor audits for quality and accuracy in expiration date order.
• Ability to process reviewed audit utilizing Premium Audit System and Mainload.
• Ability to add file audit endorsement and worksheets in Workflow
• Strong problem solving, reasoning, and decision making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to function in a fast paced environment

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS

• 1-3 years previous experience in a Premium Audit Department.
• Associates Degree and/or Insurance Courses preferred.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and related computer programs.
• Proficient with 10-key adding machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Physical demands are considered to be that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion.This position requires prolonged sitting, ability to utilize a computer and interactions with others in meetings or via phone.
• Occasional travel may be required
