All Saints Preschool, located within All Saints Episcopal Church, in Chevy Chase, MD, is seeking assistant preschool teachers for a class of one year old children and a class of older two-year old children.

ASP is a Christian-based school for children ages 1-5 years old and provides a loving and nurturing environment that fosters the growth of the whole child in a loving environment (socially, intellectually, physically, and spiritually). Each classroom is staffed with highly qualified teachers. Teachers are encouraged to bring their own talents and ideas to the classroom. Small class sizes ensure children receive an enriching and engaging experience. ASP teachers are committed to serving each child - meeting their needs while understanding that each child develops and learns differently. Our classrooms are spacious and filled with lots of natural light.

Hours: Morning Program – One Year Old Program - 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (Mon.-Fri.); Two Year Old Program – 8:30 am – 1:00 pm (Mon-Fri)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, but not required. Early Childhood Education degree is preferred, but not required.
• Nurturing, patient, organized and professional
• Ability to communicate well with children, parents, colleagues, and professionals in the field

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with preparing and setting up projects and activities that promote extended learning.
• Create a welcoming, loving, friendly, and happy environment for children while positively nurturing each child’s growth and development

• Understand that each child is different and grows in his/her own way
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
• Track child's progress and conduct at least two parent-teacher conferences per school year with Lead Teacher support
• Attend Professional Development Trainings
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred
