Job Overview
We are fast-paced and high-demand, non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure that children with disabilities and behavioral difficulties receive a mainstreamed experience in the least restrictive environment
- Under direct supervision, plan for and provide direct special services to the assigned child/children
- Assist educational staff and the assigned child in all areas of the program
- Model appropriate behavior and interact in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner with children, staff, families, and community volunteers to build and foster responsive relationships
- Implement support and supervision according to the child’s individualized plan
- Serve as bus aide as needed
Minimum Education Level:
High School Diploma/GED
Better:
Associates, or higher, in early childhood
Working toward a CDA
Experience:
Some experience preferred
Better:
2+ years of direct experience with at-risk population
