Job description
Seeking a full-time Offset Press Operator at our NE Portland Facility. This person will be responsible for operating offset printing presses. The Press Operator will excel at troubleshooting, work well under pressure within tight deadlines, and fully understand the importance of quality standards.
- Examine work order to determine quantity to print, stock specifications, colors and special printing instructions.
- Make ready and operate Akiyama 4 or 6 station sheetfed presses.
- Maintain quality control from beginning to end of print run.
- Perform proper and required cleaning and maintenance of press.
Qualifications and Skills
In-depth knowledge of the mechanics and capabilities of printing presses. Needs to be able to accurately identify color variation. Familiarity with sheet fed presses is required, familiarity with Akiyama presses is a major plus.
