Position:
Pricing Analyst - fully remote

Overview:

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and innovative Pricing Analyst within the global OneSource Laboratory Services business. This position is responsible for creating profit-enhancing pricing strategies based on a comprehensive review of industry standards, competitors, and global pricing trends. A successful candidate in the role requires a high degree of problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with experience in similar roles.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: RFx’s (Request for Proposals, Request for Information, Request for Quote, etc.), expansion opportunities for existing customers, renewals, bid defense negotiation pricing support, post-inventory pricing validations, new commercialization opportunities, and defining and implementing process and system efficiencies and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop meaningful pricing strategies designed to drive profitable growth and strength in concisely articulating the strategy verbally and visually
  • Grow total gross margin dollars by identifying pricing actions that encourage higher sale values, conversion rates, inelasticity, margin rates, and customer satisfaction
  • Analyzes moderately complex financial, statistical, and competitor price data and recommends price changes to improve profitability
  • Sensitivity to pricing trend analysis, especially by technology, model, and manufacturer with capability to articulate appropriately to stakeholders
  • Develop standard costing and pricing, automated pricing tools and databases
  • Collects and analyzes moderately complex financial, statistical, and strategic information to develop and maintain pricing and cost tools and infrastructures
  • Forecast margins to help the business understand the impact of new and renewing business on the OneSource Enterprise P&L
  • Efficiently and accurately build line-item quotes and expected Contribution Margin analysis for bid opportunities. Must be able to quantify and support cost analysis and modify as needed to meet business needs based on stakeholder feedback
  • Lead pricing-related projects including establishing timelines, defining deliverables, and drafting communications or presentations
  • Provide input to strategic decisions that affect operational functional areas
  • Develop and maintain best practices, processes, procedures, standards, systems, and tools to ensure global alignment while constantly looking for efficiencies and improvements to implement yielding enhanced quality of response, efficiency of process, and overall performance
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with diverse team members including sales, service delivery, global account managers, marketing, finance, pricing, legal, and other stakeholders
  • Resolve issues through proper coordination, escalation, and collaboration with all levels
  • Maintain knowledge while being well-informed of industry developments and pricing methodologies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2 years+ of pricing analyst experience OR

  • 1+ years experience of pricing analyst experience in a multi-national, matrixed organization

  • Ability to travel (up to 10%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related field
  • Experience with Global Pricing Practices
  • Experience with RFx Activity (Bid Management)
  • Life science, pharmaceutical, or medical industry experience
  • Prior experience with new process and system development, preferably with a pricing focus
  • Hands-on experience with SQL or Python Databases
  • Excellent time management prioritization skills with demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong leadership, decision making, analytical (qualitative & quantitative), and problem-solving abilities
  • Superior written and oral communication skills that enable meaningful cross-functional discussions with key stakeholders and ability to lead project teams
  • Highly collaborative and results driven with a customer-centric approach
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Excel, and the entire MS Suite and database software such as SAP, etc.
  • Practical knowledge and experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance with BI tools, Business Objects, Salesforce, CPQ, Spotfire, etc.
  • Ability to support projects based in any global region
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%)
