Under general supervision, responsible for data modeling, analysis and decision consultant of the pricing of goods and services in order to stay competitive in the market. This position will be the pricing thought leader and acts a consultant to our field sales leaders and executive sales team. Operates independently in most aspects of pricing. Serves as Subject Matter Expert in their field.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Help accurately and effectively price assigned markets
• Engineer KPIs as needed to optimize price performance and profit
• Develop and maintain pricing tools {{for example: elasticity of demand calculators}}, profitability models and train others on how to use them
• Proactively review reports to signal risk to plan and make price, volume, and mix recommendations accordingly
• Work cross-functionally with senior leadership on tactical execution, long-term strategy and change management in order to maximize profit.
• Speak to results, perform root cause analysis, analyze trends, uncover risks and opportunities
• Prepare price action files and work directly with district and executive sales team members on achieving price goals while maintaining mix and product step logic
• Use internal cost information to help analyze competitive pricing of products or proposed price reductions
• Conduct market research in order to make recommendations regarding pricing approach and policies
• Maintain historical pricing data on the organization and its competitors
• Work with product management and field sales management on new product introductions and their pricing

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Requires a bachelor's degree (preferred Finance, Mathematics and/or Statistics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Requires at least 5 years related experience
• Requires strong finance, statistics and/or data modeling experience
• Requires understanding of financial data, competitive markets and pricing dynamics
• Requires experience with pricing software such as Vendavo or Pros
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Must have experience working with databases and massive sets of data
• Must be effective in written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge on QlikView/Tableau server architecture and building qvd’s and qvw’s applying business rules and data validations preferred by not required.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• 25-30% potential travel
