Position Title: Program Manager - Primary Care

Department: Primary Care

Location: Gainesville, FL

Reports to: VP Business Relations

Salary Range: $55,000 - $62,000

Position Summary:

This is a management position which is responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the Primary Care Clinics in Gainesville and Lake City. Medical practice managers work closely with the medical practitioners of the programs to address issues and monitor daily operations. The Program Manager will develop, review, and implement procedures for the operation of the clinics. This position is responsible for ensuring the practice(s) is running smoothly and successfully. The Program Manager must be knowledgeable on medical office operations, including documentation, scheduling, and billing, as well as knowledgeable on contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management or related field preferred.

Experience Requirements: 3 - 5 years of professional experience in managing operations of a department. Exceptional leadership and analytical skills. Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Electronic Health Record utilization, HIPAA, CFR 42 and billing regulations.

Driver Requirement: Must have a current Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements and be able to drive to all Meridian locations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. The primary duties of a program manager are to plan, coordinate, direct and supervise most elements of the Primary Care department.

2. Manage medical practitioners' schedules

3. Supervise Primary Care program staff.

4. Oversee and design patient services or implement work procedures for the department.

5. Maintain direct and daily interactions with medical staff and patients.

6. Address and manage technical issues and daily patient flow making system improvements as identified.

7. Coordinate and provide necessary trainings on e-prescribing and use of the Electronic Health Record for practitioners.

8. Work to resolve client concerns effectively.

9. Must be able to effectively lead a diverse team and possess strong communication skills.

10. Must be extremely efficient, organized and resourceful.

11. Must possess skills to maximize practice efficiency and look for opportunities to reduce operating costs.

12. Must be adaptable and able to function well in a fast-paced environment.

13. Will need to have great interpersonal skills to deal with many personalities and patient needs.

14. Lead and coordinate the use of telehealth effectively to maximize medical team efficiency.

15. Interview, hire, and train Primary Care staff and medical practitioners and conduct performance evaluations.

16. Manage insurance contracts and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and performance measures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
