- The Global Procurement team at the client have implemented myBuy (GEP Smart) as the preferred platform for their internal source-to-pay process. Eventually, the myBuy platform is intended to be a one-stop shop for every professional in the organization for any purchasing need – identify suppliers; conduct sourcing projects (RFx); draft, review & amend contracts; supplier database (along with connecting to external links for additional supplier related information) and invoice submissions, etc.
Project: myBuy - Targeted Content and User Experience Improvement
Overarching Project Intent:
Best in class adoption/user experience and efficiency manifested by:
- Guided Buying used by the Stakeholders
- Procurement Process & Systems are used by Global Procurement
- In an effort to reach the intended future state, the team has identified an immediate need to consolidate existing efforts & introduce new efforts to create, upload and maintain an efficient and an effective content database on the my Buy platform and drive other targeted improvements to drive efficiency and user experience.
Focus areas include
- Analyse existing content / guidance available, and measure utilization. Identify methods to improve adoption of such existing content on / for myBuy.
- Drive focused efforts on identification & creation of new content on / for myBuy. This requires the consultant(s) to bring a deep end-to-end understanding of the full procurement cycle and apply that in relation to the current S2P Process within the organization.
- Identify and execute other opportunities to streamline overall flow and experience for both stakeholders and procurement professionals.
KPIs targeted for improvement
- % PO line items through catalog
- % PO line items through other appropriate Guided buying channels
- % Sourcing adoption ( Sourcing & contract)
- % Improvement in User experience/ satisfaction
- % Clean overall flow for prioritized keyword based searches and buying
- Person in this role will be a part of Global Procurement Excellence and Operations team.
- Role is to look at end to end process from user 's perspective, create structured analysis and help improve in a targeted manner (while partnering with various other experts).
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Support Global Procurement with deep process analysis and managing process improvement projects as part of the new procurement system being implemented.
- Lead identification of improvement opportunities for Guided Buying & improve user experience both for stakeholders and internal procurement professionals
- Perform project management activities for the identified improvement projects including setting up/leading project review cycles
- Perform hands on system testing (GEP procurement platform) in order to determine the current state system performance and document/identify improvements
Must Haves (do not apply if you do not have 9/10 of these requirements):
- Bachelor's degree in Business (Operations Management or Supply Chain Management), Engineering or Management Information Systems)
- 8-10 year experience in health care/biotech/pharma, 6+ years Lean Six Sigma & Project Management experience.
- Must be able to facilitate Process Improvement Workshops (Kaizen & Root Cause Analysis etc.)
- Demonstrated competency planning and tracking project schedules with clearly defined critical paths.
- Experience in end-to-end Procurement Processes and knowledge in procurement systems such as Smart by GEP (preferred), Ariba, and Coupa etc.
- Problem solving skills, with ability to anticipate problems and recommend solutions.
- Provide process and system support functions.
- Experience in successfully managing teams of business and technical resources.
- Strong leadership, consulting and customer service skills.
- Experience with project management tools and best practices
- Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills, influence skills, and time/resource management skills.
- Must be able to present information to all levels of the organization.
- English Read Write Speak
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred or equivalent skillset, i.e. minimum Green Belt certified with proven strong analytical capability
- PMP certification a plus
- Formal Change Management certification a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
