Position Summary
This position is responsible for development and execution of product portfolio strategies generating growth and profitability for the business. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, this person will be performing Product Management for the entire Oneida, TN product portfolio (hose and belts), new product development, and business development in relevant distribution channels. We are looking for a talented individual with previous experience in a commercial role, ideally in product line management with an understanding of distribution sales. Our ideal candidate will have experience in assessing markets, developing strategies and understanding industry competition. They will also be a strong relationship builder and work to implement projects and programs by working with and through the responsible manufacturing departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a growth strategy for both belt and hose product portfolios manufactured in Oneida, TN.
- Establish and manage pricing levels to maximize product value and profitability.
- Lead product development process for NPD projects in Oneida to ensure all customer needs and technical requirements are met.
- Work with Oneida manufacturing to set inventory levels for stock products and assist with disposition of E&O materials.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of technologies, competitive environment/products, and market trends to develop and set long term product strategy.
- Work with marketing communications to develop an effective mix of promotional strategies for assigned product portfolios.
- Develop and present training materials for both internal and external customers
- Effectively assist sales team manage the opportunity sales pipeline to sustainable grow business over mid and long term.
- Establish overall sales and margin goals for Oneida product portfolios
- Develop a list of key LWB customer targets and a strategy for sales conversion.
- Develop and maintain relationship with key customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs and further develop business opportunities.
- Interact with Operations, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and Procurement to ensure sales goals are achieved.
- Must be able to travel up to 60% to customer locations.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
- Proven sales track record
- Experience in customer support is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
- Market knowledge (hose and belts)
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport
- Time management and planning skills
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
