PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Performs a wide range of semi-skilled and unskilled jobs to support production operations.
• Performs non-maintenance tasks that are needed to maintain product flow and routine equipment operation. May include tasks such as clearing jams, cleaning screens, and disposing of defective product or raw materials
• Operates area equipment or subsystems in a safe and efficient manner using established standard operating procedures.
• Maintains efficient operation of assigned equipment and subsystems via daily cleaning and routine adjustments. Generates work orders as needed.
• Performs cleaning and area setup.
• Maintains assigned work area, tools and equipment in a clean, organized and professional manner. Assist other associates in maintaining the visual workplace requirements for the entire area.
• Performs hand packing, including bulk pack, six pack, and end of line.
• Monitors, inspects, and maintains product quality while straightening rows on the main distribution line.
• Prepares and ships finished goods according to the established standard operating procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Preferred:

• 1 year manufacturing experience
• Forklift experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to work independently
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift 25kg

SPECIAL DUTIES AND TASKS: Line 7

• Manage the refeed and buckets. Keep the buckets neat and orderly. Replace ripped bags in the buckets as needed. Clean up the areas where the buckets are sitting during run mode. Maintain the bucket holding freezers.

• Monitor the cookie/ice cream placement on the plate line to ensure there will be good product going in and out of the tunnel for packaging. If issues are present, escalate to your Team (Process Tech / Wrapper Operator) and/or Team Lead. Work with your Team to get the issues resolved.

• Help control waste in the area by monitoring the process. Fixing cookies, making sure we have re-work cans if we can use them.

• Help out by emptying the waste bins in the area. Keep the overall area clean of debris adhering to good GMP practices.

• Build relations with your Team and the Cookie Dispenser SME’s. You should be able to effectively communicate with the SME’s and their supervisors to maintain a good and effective with flow.

• Efficiently coordinate breaks with other B2’s in your area. Make sure you are owning your duties while not on break.

• Clear jams around Rake-Off Area, Cookie Depositors, and Tamper.

• Help set up the equipment. Also help clean the equipment for shut-downs or planned stops.

• Support the Process Tech and the Wrapper Operator throughout the day. Everyone working as a team will keep the shift moving in a responsible and efficient manner.
