Summary

The NFL Media office located in Inglewood, CA is looking for a full-time Production Assistant. This position will report to the Edit Producer and be involved in all aspects of studio-based shows.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Coordinating Producers, Senior Producers, Segment Producers and other Production Assistants on a daily basis to support content created for daily studio programming
• Works in edit bays & control rooms producing video content with editors and coordinating live-to-air on-screen fonts with graphic operators
• Responsible for watching a game and producing multiple highlights for various studio shows
• Works to develop and implement on-screen graphic elements that reflect breaking news, current NFL topics and statistics related to show content
• Responsible for archiving important video, teleprompting shows and other various tasks related to production
• Facilitating communication and the exchange of ideas across multiple departments

Required Qualifications

• Strong NFL knowledge (present day & historical)
• Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skills
• Ability to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for all NFL stories
• Strong understanding of workflows in control rooms and edit environments
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to perform basic statistical and info-based research

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism or equivalent experience in a related field
• Previous professional experience in a TV production environment is strongly preferred
• Basic understanding of linear editing and on-air graphics systems

Travel

• Some travel may be required during key events (5%)

Salary / Pay Range

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

• NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week
• Overtime may be required during the busiest times of the season
• Overnight, weekend and holiday hours are commonly expected
