Contract Period: Part-time, academic year, hourly, non-exempt, flexible schedule not to exceed 900 hours per academic year. (May include a few days in the summer.).

Supervisor: Technical Director

Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience.

Summary: Responsible for theatre operations during events including supervision of the lobby, stage, and backstage areas. Responsible for the protection of the Academy’s interest when outside agencies use our facilities.

Other: The scope of the position requires a flexible schedule to include frequent evenings and weekends.

DUTIES: ● Serves as point of contact with artists or rental clients and disseminate information and instructions to technicians, front-of-house staff, and custodians. ● Work with Pinkerton custodial staff to inspect all areas (public and non-public) before and after events to ensure cleanliness. ● Enforce patron policies including the food and drink policy and the smoking policy. ● Respond to accidents and illnesses. Call for emergency medical responses when necessary. ● Oversee evacuations of the theatre by both audience and artists as a result of the fire alarm. ● Work with campus security or Derry Police to ensure adherence to parking rules. ● Maintain a professional demeanor and image to assure the highest level of customer service. ● Performs comparable duties as assigned by the Director of Stockbridge Theatre. ● Assist Technical Director with set up and operation of events. ● Supervise technical staff during events in absence of Technical Director. ● Coordinate with Technical Director regarding the specific needs for each event.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors and requires walking, sitting, bending, lifting, climbing and standing for extended periods of time.
