The Design Group Creative Play and Toy division operates under the name Anker Play Products. The creative play and toy line has been a steady and growing category of product within the DG business and has an incredible portfolio of toys, kids crafts and games for mass market and value channel customers. Our extensive product line offers a wide range of creative play products for all children and all seasons.
We are recruiting for a Production Designer to work fully onsite in our newly renovated top floor office in Miami Beach, FL. Our team operates in an open concept workspace allowing your creativity to flourish and grow. Anker Play launched in 2016 and continues to grow rapidly with product in many major retail stores such as Five Below, Target, and Walmart.
WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and packaging files for production including specs, die lines, instructions, and any other detailed documents the supplier may require for manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Prepare files for production in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop and ensure they are set up with accurate specifications.
- Collect, repair, and file/update print ready files and specs.
- Create packaging die-lines from scratch as well as re-size existing die-lines.
- Create digital product mock-ups, which may include rendering both packaging and products in Photoshop/Illustrator.
- Keep files organized on our servers following specific guidelines.
- Communicate with our factories and overseas merchandising teams on artwork files that are released ensuring Production Team responds within 24-48 hours on all production and order-related questions pertaining to our artwork files.
- Work within given creative parameters and demanding deadlines and seek ways to improve processes and quality of output with functional areas.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
- You have a bachelor’s degree in packaging, graphic design, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a related role.
- You have a comprehensive knowledge of concept development, design and all phases of production and understand packaging die-lines.
- You are a detail-oriented, deadline-driven self-starter who can juggle multiple projects and collaborate across departments with the ability to meet and perform well under tight deadlines.
- You are an expert in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign with advanced photo retouching skills and extreme attention to detail.
- You have excellent written and verbal skills; adept at email communication particularly with overseas teams.
- You have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including the ability to navigate data in Excel.
- You have a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a project from conception to production.
