As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists you will be responsible for all aspects of creating, analyzing and communicating detailed production schedules using industry standard scheduling software. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Leaders, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production Control to ensure work is efficiency planned with all risks identified.
Responsibilities:

Develops the production schedule and manufacturing plan based on program schedule, customer ask date, labor and machine resource availability, and expected make/buy part availability lead time.

Manages production schedules for multiple programs. Provides Production Control detailed information to ensure scheduled completion dates align with actual work center capacities, capabilities and historical performance.

Evaluates product scope and creates production execution schedules using MRP systems and MS Project. Controls the scope of work released to Production Control for management and execution.

When schedule recovery is necessary, identifies and analyzes solutions and bottlenecks, including forward and reverse scheduling methods.

Works closely with production team to determine the needs and constraints of the manufacturing shop floor, technicians and schedules work accordingly.

Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Program Management, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure production and customer specifications are accurate and production schedules are timely.

Monitors status and provides regular updates to management on upcoming production priorities.

Maintain production schedule data within the program IMS using Primavera P6

Updates visual management boards with current job/program status.

Performs schedule and scope variance analysis and reviews MRP execution.

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation and judgement

Mentors and assists other planners as needed

Qualifications:

BA/BS Production Management, Business Management, Industrial Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management preferred.

Minimum 4 years recent production control planning and scheduling experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.

Competent in creating and managing CPM schedules

Read and understands technical documents including blueprints and schematic

Able to work full time schedule, including occasional travel, overtime or on-call work.

Based upon job duties, may need to work in various areas that may cause exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Manufacturing Lead, supplier management, program management experience highly desired.

Excellent computer skills with MS Project and Primavera P6. ERP experience with MRP execution desired.

Demonstrates understanding and is able to apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen
