Production Supervisor
2nd Shift
Full-time

Responsibilities:
1. Plans and schedules production activities and supervises the production process.
2. Ensures the effective management of production lines, including, but limited to, completing quality work on time, in a cost effective and safe manner.
3. Coaches, trains, counsels and disciplines employees as needed. Motivates and inspires team.
4. Supervises consistently and fairly.
5. Ensures assemblers who report to the line meet dress code and other food safety requirements.
6. Provides production information by completing all required paperwork in a timely manner.
7. Directs personnel on startup of new jobs and ensures that special instructions, packing, and quality control requirements are understood and followed.
8. Responsible for working safely and maintaining a safe work environment: attends required training, identifies and reports hazards; wears required PPE for position; and is accountable for self as well as co-worker safety.
9. Understands allergen guidelines and if allergens are present and how to properly clean and segregate to keep from cross contamination.
10. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining records of all procedures.
11. Is familiar with and complies with SQF Food Safety standards and ensures all product produced meets assigned quality standards. Ensures employees know what to do if quality is not within specs.
12. Works with other departments to effectively execute the policies and goals of the organization.
13. Maintains Job Packets and ensures all necessary information is included.
14. Provides strong leadership to production personnel. Maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Promotes teamwork and positive relations among all contacts by setting positive examples.
15. Collaborate daily with departments to proactively prevent/reduce any production delays and to ensure timely flow of raw materials into the production scheduled and finished goods into the warehouse.

17. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
18. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must possess knowledge of good manufacturing methods, company operations, operating equipment, and how to plan and manage projects.
- Able to work under limited supervision.
- Goal oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines related to detailed and complex situations.
- Working knowledge of SQF Food Safety requirements and continuous improvement methods.
- Good physical condition required for lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling. Some climbing and balancing, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
- Knowledge of procedures, work instructions and associated paperwork as required.
