Position Summary:
We are looking for a talented supervisor to support continued growth in our Core Value Stream. This position will oversee the daily workflow of the value stream and be responsible for ensuring the production team meets safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth goals daily. The right candidate will have a clear desire to succeed and be effective working in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with production planning and Value Stream Manager to define production goals on an ongoing basis
- Identify gaps and support improvements across value stream to ensure team has what is needed to successfully meet production goals
- Works with Value Stream Manager and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction
- Set expectations and drives accountability within team towards meeting commitments
- Effectively manages performance across multiple production shifts
- Determines needs and opportunities for continuous improvement actions
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves delays in shift operations, ensuring shipping deadlines are met
- Aligns production resources to meet delivery goals
- Develops employees for succession planning and career interests
- Responsible for defining and implementing staffing and training plans
- Handles discipline and corrective action of employees in partnership with HR and Value Stream Manager
- Ensures proper cadence of communication and shift hand-offs
- Participate in recruiting process including interviews and feedback reviews
- Drives completion of effective new hire onboarding and training
- Spend at minimum 50% of time on the production floor
- Work with other value stream leads / supervisors / managers to ensure factory wide production priorities are being covered and gaps are being resolved
- Work with other value streams to share lessons learned through production related issues or improvement
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education / Experience:
- BS in manufacturing or industrial engineering or a closely related field preferred
- 3+ years of production supervision experience
Requirements
:
This position may require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident or ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements.
Reporting and Location:
This position is based in Boulder, Colorado and reports to the Value Stream Manager or his/her designate.
Compensation Information:
Salary Range: $80 - 95k annually
Bonus: This position is eligible for company discretionary bonus
