As a Production Supervisor, you will be playing a critical role on the Gigafactory Production team.
You will lead a dynamic team of Associates and Leads within the Body-In-White shop while managing operations and driving metrics in critical areas of the Manufacturing floor.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally with our manufacturing and operations teams, interfacing with Engineering, NPI, and Material Flow, to ensure production goals are being met.
What You’ll Do
Develop & maintain Standardized Work Instructions used in production by the production associates.- Support the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in the production processes with the Manufacturing Process Engineers.
- Develop training programs and hire plans for production associates.
- Support of control plans to assure critical features are controlled through the production process.
- Manage production associates and develop the team structures used in the Tesla Factory.
- Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking.
- Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience- 3+ years of experience managing teams of people in high-volume manufacturing setting preferred
- Experience working in automotive preferred
- Experience and thorough knowledge of high-volume production systems and processes
- Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Ability to work a flexible shift, including nights and weekend, if necessary
