Position Overview

Team Lead of Production ensures proper procedures are followed by all employees in area including safety, quality and production. Team lead performs role safely and can wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including a respirator. Additionally, expedites repairs and corrective measures to prevent excessive downtime, schedule interruptions, and eliminate defects

Areas of Focus

Team Lead Production focuses on appropriate parameter adjustments as needed to ensure batteries meet all specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Sets-up and operates all machinery/equipment with superior efficiency
  • Monitors controls and gauges to assure proper functions
  • Able to efficiently make change overs to equipment as schedule requires.
  • Make appropriate parameter adjustments as needed to ensure batteries meet all specifications
  • Performs visual/physical inspections and tests for quality and quantity. Analyzes and diagnoses equipment malfunctions.
  • Distributes department work orders (production, shipping, etc.)
  • Assist other team members as needed to maximize production
  • Conducts and coordinates the training of new employees
  • Completes daily standard production reports
  • Ensures safety supplies and personal protective equipment are used appropriately
  • Identifies unsatisfactory employee performance, verbally notifies employees of procedure violations or behavior problems and informs Supervisor of performance events
  • Communicate various company policies and procedures to employees
  • May give verbal input regarding employee performance during employee review process
  • Follow and maintain Lean activities (5S, housekeeping, hygiene, etc)
  • Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE.
  • Understand & practice the Quality policy
  • Comply with Blood Lead Health and Hygiene Protocols
  • Other duties maybe assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift driver certification
  • Must have training certification for each area of responsibility
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft software products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and any department specific computer programs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
