ROLE DEFINITION

DuPont’s Healthcare Industries Material Site (HIMS) has multiple opportunities open for Extrusion Technicians in Hemlock, MI!

The Extrusion Technician position works a 4-3-3-4 rotating 12 hour shift schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:

• Operating process related equipment and plant process control systems in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner
• Optimize plant performance by monitoring processes while the collecting and reporting related measurements such as asset utilization, quality, costs, yield, environmental health and safety, and production rates
• Adjusting control systems and manually operated equipment based on process and lab data
• Determining root causes of deviations in process, product or equipment performance through use of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent is required; an Associate’s Degree or certificate in Chemical Process Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word and Excel) and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Willing and able to work all applicable shifts on a rotating basis including weekends and holidays and work overtime when needed
• Willing and able to lift 50 lbs, lift hoses, bolt flanges, and operate valves and similar equipment routinely
• Must be able to perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, military, or industrial setting is preferred
