Whittemore Company’s roots have been traced back to 1919. Located in Roslindale, Massachusetts the company was originally established to distribute feed, grain and coal. In 1949 Whittemore started expanding perlite, operating the third known perlite furnace in the United States. In 1973 the Sheehy family purchased Whittemore Company and moved it from Roslindale to Andover, Massachusetts. The company remained at this location until 1985 when it was relocated to its present site in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Expansion processing of vermiculite was added in 1993, as well as a blending production line for custom products. Today the company manufacturers a wide range of standard and customized products that are used in variety of market applications in the horticultural, construction and industrial sectors.
Production Workers for the following shifts
1st Shift; 8am to 4:30pm
2nd shift; 4pm to 12:30am
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking team player for long term success and growth within our manufacturing team! Operator will be working on the packaging line helping fill products into bags and perform other jobs as necessary.
Some weekends as needed
Position is Temp to Hire after completing 90 days as Temp you will be Hired as permit employee

- Filling material into bags
- Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in machinery or other related fields preferred
- Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload and lifting up to 40Lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Anybody coming into the plant is required to wear mask, we have hand sanitizing station through out the building, everybody will be screening and temp check before coming into the plant as well, we also do deep cleaning in the plant two times a day.
