POSITION LOCATION: Durham, NC Campus

CLOSING DATE: Wednesday, February 1, 2023 5 p.m.
POSITION TYPE: Temporary 6 month assignment, 8-16 hrs/week.
Anticipated appointment period January 2023 - June 1, 2023
Typical work schedule 4 hours/day.
HOURLY RATE: $17.89

Minimum Education and Experience:
High School diploma and two years of directly related administrative/office support or undergraduate degree in a business-related field.
Description of Duties:
The Bowman-Brockman Program Associate supports the Bowman-Brockman Fund and program at both the Durham and Morganton campuses. This position is responsible for working with project sponsors to place orders, followed by receiving and distributing packages. This position must keep predictable office hours for 8 hrs/week including remote meetings with faculty and staff from the Morganton campus. This position manages the Bowman Brockman fund by keeping an up-to-date balance for the account and a balance for each student grant. This position reports to the Science Program Associate.
Duties:
Bookkeeping (25%)
a. Manage the Bowman-Brockman Foundation Acct
b. Track expenses for each B-B project
c. Keep a running balance for the account.
d. Coordinate with the Dean of Science and the Science Program associate to set the budget.
Work with Sponsors (25%)
a. Hold regular office hours to meet with sponsors about orders.
b. Share balances with sponsors upon request.
c. Work across the Durham and Morganton campuses.
Purchasing (25%)
a. Obtain a Fdn P card
b. Sign off on P card purchases
c. Purchase items requested.
Receiving (25%)
a. Receive and track packages.
b. Notify sponsors to pick up items
c. Obtain packing slips from sponsors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have good communication skills and good quantitative skills. Must be able to work effectively with faculty. Must be able to comfortably work with spreadsheets from Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite software.
