Program Associate, Young Families
Job description
You will be responsible for managing small-scale events targeted at families with young children including jBaby Chicago playgroups, volunteer events/opportunities, and parent ambassador and parent connector events. Responsibilities include contracting with local play spaces, ordering program supplies, and maintaining event set-up and registration in JUF’s salesforce database.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage event planning logistics including contracting venues, speakers, entertainment, and program supplies.
- Manage and maintain event set-up and registration in JUF’s salesforce database.
- Coordinate holiday themed PJ Library Party Packs for families.
- Manage jBaby Chicago swag inventory.
- Work in partnership with JUF’s Marketing department as needed.
- Support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign-related activities on an ongoing basis.
What you need to succeed:
- REQUIRED:
- 2+ years’ experience in event or program planning
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite of Products and Database entry
- Able to travel to events around the Chicagoland area
- Available to work a varied work schedule including weekend hours
- PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of early childhood education and working with families
- Experience working in Salesforce
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of Chicago, the Chicago Jewish community, and services provided by JUF and its beneficiary agencies
