Job Description:
- The Project Manager III independently manages a portfolio of complex client projects. This role maintains client relationships, with a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience. They execute project milestones and results through creative problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and their own proven proficiency in project management. This individual works with an eye towards strategy, considering new possibilities for clients and the business alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Acumen
- Independently manages several medium sizes and/or complexity active projects (number of projects depends on client needs and complexity of projects)
- Structures project(s) in line with client strategy, inclusive of identifing needs, setting objectives, establishing goals, defining resources requirements, and tracking performance indicators through implementation identifying gaps and prioritizing improvement opportunities.
- Proactively diagnoses project challenges, developing solutions that correct problems and/or overcome undesirable situations with minimal guidance.
- Collaborates with team members to identify the risks that can affect a project’s output and develops methods to identify, monitor, and evaluate threats and consequences to completing specific project objectives.
- Effectively defines, tracks, and negotiates expenses, budgets and revisions in response to project performance.
- Understands customer contract terms & conditions and the implication to the risk profile of the project and skilled in negotiation skills and techniques.
Client Relationship Management
- Able to perform and interpret a comprehensive client need analysis including the customer’s target market, segmentation, and value proposition.
- Maintains knowledge of Client solutions portfolio and communicates Client value proposition in relation to the competition.
- Understands clients project portfolio and advocates for them across the cross-functional teams throughout the project phases, maintaining client satisfaction and seeking additional opportunities to meet client needs.
- Understands the industry structure and market place and able to articulate and communicate Client position and strategy within the industry. Maintains knowledge of competitive offerings.
Technical Knowledge
- Aligns client needs with Client solution capabilities to achieve client's business objectives.
- Independently leverages and interprets data to ensure successful project deliverables and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Manages projects efficiently in different systems and maintains accountability for individual and team outcomes.
- Advances the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes, procedures, and outputs.
Project Management Leadership
- Seeks mentorship and guidance to drive personal development and further strengthen project management skills.
- Communicates information in a timely manner, understands boundaries, respects differences and confronts conflict appropriately. Ensures that all communications are clear, focused, and based on a solid understanding of needs, using the most appropriate medium.
- Documents and clearly establishes the direction of the project based on an understanding the client’s mission, vision, values, long-term goals, and projects milestones for execution.
- Works with others to quickly resolve or escalate solutions to problems. Develops a sense of urgency among cross-functional teams.
- Takes responsibility for project deliverables, drives respect from team members, and ensures buy-in on the overall vision.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Certification: PMP certification or similar preferred
Years of Experience:
- 5 years experience in project management, experience in pharma environment preferred
- 3 years experience acceptable if holding an advanced degree
- Experience in a project or program management role dealing with customers (ideally in a contract manufacturing organization), leading programs with significant business impact.
- Should possess solid understanding of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical product lifecycles with experience leading development and/or commercial manufacturing programs.

Pay: $70.00 - $82.00 per hour
