POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Manager in Clinical Informatics, provides leadership to achieve unit, departmental, and institutional objectives within a rapidly changing environment. Applies advanced knowledge of clinical practice, unit operations, clinical informatics, research, quality and safety, and professional development to bridge clinical practice and information technology (IT), enhance quality and safety, and improve operations. Promotes innovation and excellence in clinical, service, and team performance. This leader assures that Epic curriculum for operational, clinical and non clinical support staff , and providers reflects optimized team-based practice and optimizes efficiency. They represent as a Clinical Specialist and Business Owner within the Office of Population Health. They assure JIRA oversight and management. They manage workflow optimization through new or enhanced build within the electronic health record, provide programmatic analysis and evaluation and engage with partners and leaders across spectrum This leader will provide support in analytics, report development and program management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Nursing, clinical informatics or relevant fields preferred.
Knowledge: Knowledge of social, behavioral, leadership, business, computer science, information science, and managerial theories and concepts. Knowledge of the contemporary health care environment, including clinical, economic, and policy trends. Advanced knowledge of acquiring, planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on IT. Advanced knowledge of performance improvement principles and the science of safety. Demonstrated broad knowledge of health services software application and hardware platforms. Knowledge of communication theory and telecommunications. Skills: Requires strong analytical ability to solve complex business, outcomes, and population-based problems. Requires advanced communication and interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all levels within the organization. Must be able to work as a member of a problem solving team. Requires significant experience with data manipulation and statistical packages and techniques. Requires the ability to communicate and present results of analyses with a variety of internal and external audiences, both written and verbally.
Requires the ability to interpret complex data from multiple data sources and develop findings and recommendations. MS Office Suite experience, SQL, and SPSS or other statistical package experience required. Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.: Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland with eligibility to obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse in other states and jurisdictions. Work Experience: Requires 3 years of nursing experience in a healthcare environment.
Prefers 1 year experience in data analysis and manipulation
