This position offers a Sign On Bonus of $8,000

Wage Range:
$65500 - $70000 Salary

Position Summary:
This is a professional position providing supervision, leadership, and oversight to a clinical team delivering behavioral health interventions to children, youth, and their families with intensive therapeutic, crisis response, and community safety needs. This position requires a vibrant and dynamic team leader that is able to motivate and support a successful clinical team to provide strength-based unconditional services that support a child/youth's vital connections to family and community. The Program Manager must ensure that services provided are compliant with the Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) Model and the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors' (NASMHPD) guidance on improving the child and adolescent crisis system. Duties of this position also include hiring and training, mentoring and motivating, clinical consultation, monitoring for safety, participating in leadership decisions, ensuring complete and accurate documentation, completing performance reviews, providing backup coverage for staff, and working with and promoting positive relationships with community partners and natural supports.
Responsibilities:
General Duties:
  • Provide comprehensive clinical training to Youth Mobile Crisis Team that includes: field coaching/mentoring in family homes and/or the community, urgent safety crisis response and planning, and team meetings facilitation.
  • Provide leadership to the clinical team to engage family and support their partners in the therapeutic process, utilizing parent/family expertise in problem-solving around specific needs and assisting with community resources access that includes both formal and informal sources.
  • Provide clinical training and ongoing support for clinicians and team members such as crisis response, team facilitation, collaborative problem solving, positive behavior support plans, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Provide daily clinical support and direction to team members including monitoring safety and risk issues and taking timely and appropriate action to ensure staff and consumer safety.
  • Provide training in documentation and training staff in the process to enter clinical data in an Electronic Health Record. In collaboration with the Quality Assurance team ensure that the clinical file is complete, meets Medicaid standards for coding and documentation, and accurately reflects the clinical work done by assigned staff.
  • Develop a strong, thriving, positive, and effective team that is built on collaborative and respectful relationships.
  • Demonstrates an ability to use technology to track and evaluate service utilization and consumer outcomes for their teams such as performance dashboards and outcome reports.
  • Develops collaborative relationships with Behavioral Health Systems, Child Welfare Systems, Juvenile Justice Systems, School Systems, Intellectual and Developmental Disability Systems, Emergency Departments/Hospitals, Law Enforcement Agencies, Poison Control Emergency Medical Systems, and Family and Youth/Young Adult Run Organizations.
  • Along with the other management staff, ensure consumer satisfaction and participate in the grievance process and resolution.
  • Provide clinical staff support and be available for emergency in-home assessments or be responsible to delegate such duties.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with other professionals, child providers, community organizations, and individuals in the community.
  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication, facilitating, coaching, and supporting the mission of Catholic Charities.
  • Holds leadership role in creating a culture of privacy and security of Protected Health Information in HIPAA Covered Entity service area, including education of staff about their responsibilities for safeguarding privacy and security.

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking, and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time. Position also requires the ability to drive with adequate vision.
Non-Physical Requirements:
Education:
  • A Master's or MSW degree in social work, psychology, behavioral sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Must have two (2) years of clinical experience working with children and families.
Special Skills:
  • Strength-based, family-oriented, and solution-focused perspective.
  • Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes for Acute Crisis Services.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish objectives and achieve expected results.
  • Strong crisis assessment and stabilization skills.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills for communicating with persons served of all ages and staff.
  • Culturally competent: recognizes cultural, racial, and other issues that impact treatment, relationships, and communications, and integrates that knowledge to work effectively with different cultures.
Licensure, Registration, and Certification:
  • Agency Affiliated Required.
  • HCA training in Trauma Informed Care, De-escalation Techniques, and Harm Reduction.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Child Mental Health Specialist and/or additional specialist designations preferred.
  • Preferred completion of a clinical supervision course.
  • Valid WA driver's license, access to the vehicle, and minimum required liability insurance for WA State.
Employment is conditional upon:
  • Being cleared by a criminal background check and fingerprinting when required.
