Position Title: Program Specialist
Location: Milroy After-School Program
Employment Type: Part-time
Hours: 20-25 hours per week; 2:00pm - 6:00pm most days
Salary: $12.00 per hour
Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Primary Functions: The Program Specialist is responsible for planning and implementing programs for Club members 5-12 years old in all program areas. Program responsibility supports our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship.
Qualifications:
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
· Basic computer skills; understanding of Google Workspace preferred
· Knowledge and the ability to learn and teach the rules of play of common games and activities such as basketball, foosball, board games, etc.
· Ability to recruit and retain a diverse group of Club members
· Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated
· Understanding of group dynamics
· Models appropriate interactions with youth and pre-teens individually and in groups to encourage their involvement in activities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Youth Development: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
