The expected ENTRY pay range for this position based on experience and equity within the Judicial Branch is $22.50 to $25.39.
This position is non-exempt under the FLSA.

About the Position
The Program Specialist for Reach for Resilience provides facilitation of meetings and collaboration among providers and systems working with families involved with the juvenile court who have experienced domestic violence. This position will facilitate the exchange of information among the participant and providers, connection to community services and resolution of barriers, creating complementary goals among providers, sharing resources, helping to provide consistency of services and communication, and use of partnerships to increase collective impact.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or another closely related field
Our Preferred Candidate has:
- Two (2) years experience working in social services, domestic violence, behavioral health and child welfare systems
- Experience and specialized training in trauma-informed care, effects of trauma, working with domestic violence, and facilitating collaboration
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Practices of Maricopa County Juvenile Court, behavioral health system, domestic violence advocacy, and child welfare systems.
- Services and resources for domestic violence and other community resources and agencies.
- Principles of casework and case management and team decision making.
- The principles of human behavior and co-occurrence of domestic violence and child maltreatment.
- Administration and implementation of screening and assessment instruments.
- Using positive strengths-based, trauma-informed approach in working with individuals and families.
Skill in:
- Establishing and maintaining working alliances with families and professionals.
- Coordinating the resources and requirements of resource agencies and their representatives.
- Working independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
- Being sensitive and non-judgmental with parents and families involved in the child welfare system, court system and/or who have experienced domestic violence.
- Facilitating meetings and system collaboration.
- Active listening, critical thinking and creative problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to:
- Work in a fast-paced environment; assume high level of initiative, professional demeanor, and display excellent public, employee and customer relation skills.
- Work with diverse people to include varied cultures, ethnic, religious beliefs and socioeconomic backgrounds.

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS

- Establish an integrated service delivery system through collaborations with stakeholders and community partners.
- Develop a comprehensive continuum of community-based services and resources appropriate to the individual needs of court-involved families.
- Provide referrals and resource information for specific issues around domestic violence to parents and system partners.
- Determine what types of resources are needed to eliminate barriers and facilitate comprehensive service delivery for families.
- Serve as liaison between the court, other government agencies and community providers.
- Prepare reports and case updates for court review and consideration.
- Attend court hearings
- Work in close collaboration with Department of Child Safety (DCS) Specialists, domestic violence service providers and stakeholders, and community or contracted treatment providers.
- Facilitate meetings, case staffing, and system collaboration.
- Serve as a liaison, whenever possible, between DCS and domestic violence service providers to coordinate service delivery.
- Assist with Protective Orders and other support functions when necessary.
- Problem-solve complex cases.
- Serve as a member of a case-specific court team and responsible for scheduling, convening, and facilitating case-specific court team meetings for cases assigned.
- Maintain and provide minutes/records of all case-specific court team meetings.
- May be assigned to the development, implementation, and management of special projects and/or various programmatic activities.
Working conditions
:
This position may require occasional work in the field that will require the use of a personal vehicle. Working occasional weekends and evenings is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak clearly and hear; see details of objects that are less than a few feet away; sit for long periods of time; stand, walk, use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and occasionally push, pull or lift up to 20 pounds.
Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County. This position may be reassigned to other locations. Assignments will be made based upon the needs of the department.
