Job description
The Project Architect will work closely with Strang's integrated team of professionals, vendors, consultants, contractors, and clients to deliver architectural services for a variety of exciting project types. Working under the direction of a Project Manager and Principal-In-Charge, you will gain knowledge and experience in all phases of design as well as develop management skills to work with large and small teams. This position can be remote or based at one of our regional offices in Wisconsin.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Project Architect collaborates with the Project Manager and Principal in Charge and oversees the completion of assignments in a timely manner maintaining accuracy while adhering to all technical and standard procedures of the office.
- Analyzes and interprets project information.
- Coordinates and checks documents during design development, contract documents and bidding phases and compiles addendum information.
- Interprets bid documents during the bidding phase. Pre-Design graphics and renderings. Programming and Schematic Design
- Preparing full construction documents in collaboration with our other disciplines and assisting with coordination of work

Qualifications:
- Professional Degree from an accredited architecture program; or related field
- Professional Registration (AIA, NCARB) Required
- 5-10 years of experience in the architectural industry, preferably in the design of science and technology, corporate office and higher education
- Experience leading other architects and project teams
- Effectiveness in working in a multi-disciplinary team setting, collaborating, and mentoring
- A thorough knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards
- Revit knowledge required; have at least two years Revit experience in an academic or professional setting
- Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with other software programs such as sketch-up, Enscape/Virtual Reality and other project management software desired
