Job description
Your tasks
- Receive, acknowledge and enter orders/quotes for customers primarily for projects. Provide back to customer complete order status.
- Know and effectively communicate the status of shipments. Determine and complete necessary shipping documents (EX: Bill of Lading, Shipper’s Letter of Instruction, Verified Gross Mass, as examples).
- Issue pricing quotes.
- Effectively communicate to the customer pricing and availability of products.
- Coordinate with Master Scheduler inventory availability to meet project needs.
- Understand the financial standing of each assigned project and assist Accounting in addressing receivable issues.
- Process claims for defective material and initiate needed debit/credit memos.
Your profile
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in Marketing, Communication, International Business or equivalent preferred.
- Three (3) years' experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, or Project Coordination role.
- One (1) year experience in Export Shipping
- Excellent verbal, writing, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to learn technical terms, processes, and piping design vocabulary.
- Computer proficient, especially with Excel and Word. SAP experience desired
- Knowledge of key geographical areas of the world, specifically Asia, Europe, India and Middle East, and the ability to read maps and locate specific countries/cities.
