This Opportunity

LBS is currently seeking a Project EIT/Engineer in Training in Tampa, FL. The Project EIT/Engineer in Training will assist the Project Management Team on assigned duties and report directly to the Deputy Project Manager.

**Contingent, based upon award of contract.**

Your Impact

• The functions of a Project EIT in training consist of learning, training and developing working knowledge with bridge and structures engineering, inspections, operations, maintenance, quality and program management.
• Other duties include preparing maps and work plans; inspecting sites to ensure work meets project criteria, review completed work orders, review of permits and documentation of findings.
• A Project EIT in training performs documentation and compiles data for reports, verifies all the agreements for invoices and assists the project management team in reviewing complaints and resolving problems. He or she should have the general knowledge of roadway and bridge engineering standards.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or student in a Civil Engineering program is required for this position.

• A Project EIT/Engineer in training should be able to read and interpret bridge plans, as-built construction plans, shop drawings, inspection reports and technical drawings and should be able to work independently on the task assigned.

• This entry level position does not require additional experience but experience in design, construction, estimating or quality control is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of roadway and bridge engineering standards.
