Company Overview

Allison Park Contractors is a growing mid-sized general contractor that specializes in Heavy Highway Construction. Allison Park Contractors performs a large variety of work from large site and bridge projects to smaller maintenance projects. We work with many different clients from PENNDOT and The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to County and Municipal Authorities and private work. APC is looking for a Project Engineer that is driven, has strong communication and organization skills, and wants to grow with the company.

This position gives the opportunity to see projects through from start to finish, both in the field and in the office. The project engineer will work with the head estimator to put together competitive bids and if successful will help the head estimator and project manager in the buyout process. Project Engineer would work with the Head Estimator and Project Managers to develop erection and demolition plans, project documents, as well as tracking quantities.

Office duties will consist of the following and more.

• Support Head Estimator in developing bids for projects.
• Quantity takeoffs.
• Acquire bid package documents.
• Aid Project Managers in developing project budgets.
• Manage project submittals.
• Monitor subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review cost reports and check for accuracy.

Tasks performed in the field will consist of the following and more.

• Monitoring productions.
• Tracking quantities.
• Site meetings.
• Verify and report jobsite conditions.
• Support of Superintendents and Foreman when required.

Qualifications Include

• Ability to multi-task across several projects.
• Detail Oriented.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Microsoft Office proficient.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar programs.
