Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer account oversight including customer communications and project coordination.
  • Lead customer and company programs / projects and facilitate the communication and interaction among the functional representatives.
  • Track programs from early development through production / implementation against schedule and budget, reporting status to supervisor on a regular basis and executive staff on an as needed basis.
  • Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
  • Ensure that the right product is developed to meet or exceed company's quality standard and is delivered at the right time.

Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred
  • Proven experience in product and project management including development and management of project plans in MS Project
  • Proven technical knowledge of precision machining, supporting secondary processes, and technical mechanical assembly.
  • Experience working within an AS or ISO certified, or similar, quality management system.
  • Proven experience participating in, and leading, process improvement initiatives.
  • Background in / understanding of strategic planning, sales and marketing, financial, and the general business side of manufacturing operations.

Competencies:

  • Able to read and interpret precision machined component and assembly prints, including GD&T callouts.
  • Intermediate to advanced user of MS Office, ERP/MRP systems, and MS Project.
  • Strong organizational, verbal/written communication, and management skills.
  • Capable of developing and accomplishing short and long-term objectives in an organized and detail oriented manner.
  • Possess the necessary skills to establish priorities and provide prompt response to internal and external parties.
  • Ability to independently perform all duties of the position efficiently and effectively.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. The team member is required to demonstrate manual dexterity and use hands to operate machinery. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the team member is regular attendance, and the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables, in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint. Familiar with ERP systems and database analytics.

The office is located near the plant facility therefore the noise level in the work environment is often moderate.
