JOB SUMMARY

Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in thorough needs analysis to help identify opportunities for improvement in business processes.
  • Collaborate with local management teams at all locations to implement projects and changes as identified by local management and division office.
  • Coordinate use of appropriate reporting systems, manufacturing processes and quality programs and processes to achieve project goals. Ensure continuing compliance with existing process requirements and ISO.
  • Plan, organize, direct and coordinate activities to exploit opportunities, manage risk and achieve contract costs, schedules and performance requirements. Ensure the project succeeds in meeting all targets, delivery schedules and technological advantage.
  • Coordinate and execute all phases of assigned projects. Establish Project Teams based on the objectives and maintain team effectiveness during project execution.
  • Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned project(s).
  • Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly. Provides progress reports to customers, project team, and management.
  • Identifies and manages sub-contract vendors as required for project completion.
  • Manage project expenditures to ensure strict adherence to approved budgets.
  • Assigns and oversees project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
  • Evaluates and monitors performance of sub-contract vendors for satisfactory performance to quality and delivery standards.
  • Interfaces with internal and external (if applicable) customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public as well as knowledge of AutoCAD Design software.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated project management experience is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands, fingers, handle or feel, talk, see and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Use of the appropriate PPE is required.

This job operates in a manufacturing professional office environment. The employee can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and loud noise level while on the production floor.
