Job Description: Our client is currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Scheduler to implement and oversee project schedules, collaborate with Project Managers, set tasks, and monitor the execution of project timelines.

  • The Project Scheduler functions as the assigned scheduler on a small or medium project, or as part of a team of schedulers on a large project or program performing routine scheduling activities with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of the Operating Procedures for Project Controls
  • Knowledge of the scope of work for the project assignment
  • Participate/Facilitate in interactive planning process
  • Development of the project schedule for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and validation activities, if required. (Mentioned duties may vary dependent upon project needs)
  • Input or update activity data, logic, resources progress / expenditure information and review of activity durations and logic sequences
  • Perform critical path analysis to identify potential problems early enough for the project team to react and correct the situation
  • Review staffing/resource forecasts based on input from project leads as compared to durations/staffing reflected in schedule
  • Review earned value analysis based on input from project leads and compare to progress reflected in schedule
  • Support for cash flow development, reporting and analysis
  • Understand and assist in expediting the information needed to complete each activity. This includes information supplied by lead from engineering, procurement, construction, clients, and others.
  • Assist and or lead effort in producing various planning and scheduling reports
  • Review change orders for schedule impact
  • Print and distribute technical and administrative reports and assembly of report packages, as required.

Requirements:

  • This position requires a minimum of 4 years’ experience in project controls or a related field.
  • Proficiency with scheduling principles and methods including Resource loading of schedules, CPM scheduling techniques, earned value.
  • Must have working knowledge of design, procurement, and construction workflow processes with extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the industry.
  • Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions identifying potential problems and elevate these to the appropriate level(s) of management.
  • Able to communicate with project management, other project leads, and the client, as required effectively and clearly.
  • Excellent organization, time management and communications skills.
  • Experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Projects is preferred), spreadsheets, and word processing software a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or Construction Management or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
