Job responsibilities will include:
- Work with technical, business development and contract administration personnel to gather technical, financial, and contractual information.
- Prepare, review, revise and maintain proposal documents for a wide range of commercial and government proposals.
- Coordinate, schedule and manage proposal development activities to meet proposal submission deadlines.
- Participate in peer editing and production review work.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required (Skills)
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience developing proposals
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong organizational, follow through and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
- Ability to react well under pressure in high-stressed situations, and accept responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications Desired
- Master's degree in English, Communications, or equivalent experience
- Experience in coordination of proposal writing activities.
- Experience with railroad related subject matter.
- Experience with graphic art software.
