Goochland Powhatan Community Services is currently seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team, providing services to individuals receiving services for Mental Health, Substance Use, and Developmental disorders and disabilities. Minimum salary for this position is $143,000. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.

GPCS is a Community Services Board outside of Richmond, Virginia, providing services to individuals within Goochland and Powhatan Counties. Our mission is to promote and enhance the quality of life through innovative, comprehensive services to all residents and the greater community of Goochland and Powhatan Counties.

General Responsibilities and Duties Include:

· Complete initial and annual psychiatric evaluations

· Outpatient psychiatric treatment for eligible consumers.

· Comply with clinical and administrative requirements regarding consumer treatment and requirements of third-party payers for reimbursement for services.

· Document services provided accurately and timely, in accordance with licensure and regulatory standards

· Provide medical support, education, staff development and training for agency clinical and nursing staff.

· Participate in treatment planning meetings and complex case staffing.

· Provide case consultation and collaboration with agency staff as needed.

· Collaborate and support nursing staff (2 RNs and an LPN).

Requirements:

· An unrestricted license to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Virginia,

· Significant clinical experience working with the severely mentally ill and seriously emotionally disturbed children, including individuals with co-occurring illness and developmental disabilities.

· Experience in a community behavioral health setting.

· Willing to pursue DEA-X designation if not already obtained.
