The Purchaser will be responsible for but not limited to purchasing goods and services for Fugro. Critical to success in this role is bringing the relevant professional, expert knowledge, and experience in creating value for Fugro by assisting in the implementation of best-in-class Purchasing to help Fugro, control third-party expenditure in order to reduce bottom line costs and improve cash flow. This role will need a collaborative, communitive, and engaging approach with the business stakeholders in Fugro.
Job Responsibilities:

Actively engage with the business and develop key relationships with business stakeholders

Obtain quotes and negotiate the best costing, delivery & quality for any goods or services dictated by the role

Send purchase orders to the supplier and manage supplier relationships

Abide by processes and procedures for purchasing dictated locally or globally.

Contribute to departmental & global KPIs for spending under control with a purchase order, several quotes per purchase, delivery performance, and savings.

Provide professionalism, effectiveness, and efficiency by delivering bottom-line cost savings.

Identify cost reduction opportunities, preferential pricing, payment terms, and partnerships to bring more value to the business.
Job Requirement:

Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
-
Supply Chain management qualification or working towards a qualification.
-
Minimum of 2 years as a Purchaser / Buyer, preferably in a multinational company, but not essential
-
4-year degree preferred, not required.

Some basic QHSSE, legal, and compliance knowledge is desirable.

Actively focused on achieving sustainable results with a passion for success;

Ability to work well alongside peers, colleagues, managers, and partners

Strong communicator

Financial acumen

Supports both internal customers and external suppliers by being attuned to their needs, adding value, and building strong relationships.

Experience with change management within an organization is a plus

Strong communication skills to nurture strong, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, at all levels.
