QA/PI Specialist/Educator - WK Transplant Center
Job description
The Quality Assurance Coordinator reports directly to the Manager of Revenue and Quality. This role serves as a vital part of the transplant team and involves data management, statistical inference, as well as the ability to understand medical terminology and reports. Persons applying should be highly detail oriented and capable of meeting deadlines.
Key functions of this role:
Implement and monitors the organization’s quality improvement activities and programs for the transplant center through the collection, evaluation, analysis of data.
Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines as defined by UNOS/OPTN, CMS, and JCAHO.
Must be able to maintain data integrity.
Acts as a resource to managers and staff regarding standards, policies and regulations.
Works collaboratively to assure documentation is complete and consistent with care, reflecting legal/regulatory requirements.
Compiles trends and reports quality data in the following areas: patient care, safety, risk management, infection control, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
Generates and evaluates statistical reports, dashboards, outcomes data, and patient care chart reviews directed toward continuous improvement while promoting compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Prefer some experience with quality/process improvement and statistics.
Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare related role
Ability to review, understand and implement regulatory agency requirements.
Ability to utilize Word, Excel and Access databases
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly explain data in face-to-face interactions
Effectively work under minimal supervision
Exercise excellent professional judgment and maintain confidentiality.
