Job Summary
The QMED is responsible to stop all activities whenever the safety of the crew, the ship or the environment is endangered or an unsafe, conflicting or non-conforming situation arises.
Job Responsibilities
- To execute the safety- and environmental policy on board
- Always to comply with (inter)national legislation, flag state requirements, accepted industry standards, Company decrees and contracts
- To perform, all assigned activities including maintenance, vessel conservation, cleaning, tidying and all Engine Room activities
- Able to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as a Oiler/Motorman as per STCW;
Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel
- Knowledge of the applicable codes, guidelines and standards
- Knowledge of the equipment and procedures he is responsible for.
- Local statutory regulations in the country of seafarer
- STCW for this position required certificates and licenses
- Training as per Company Training Matrix.
- TWIC Certified
- MMC certificate
