CACI is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help support our Photonics business unit, within our CACI Technology Innovation & Labs Operating Group. Under minimal direction, you will support Quality and Mission Assurance activities to ensure conformance to requirements throughout the product lifecycle and production processes for complex electronic, mechanical, and optical systems.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Support programs by interpreting customer quality and mission assurance requirements and ensuring compliance to the requirements
  • Ensure program requirements are understood and being fulfilled throughout the lifecycle of the program
  • Represent Mission and Quality Assurance at program reviews and audits
  • Chair the Material Review Board and facilitate the timely disposition of nonconforming materials
  • Interact with design, operations, planning and leadership to ensure business process and decisions are aligned with program customer requirements
  • Participate in the resolution of production issues
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Interface with customer representatives
  • Facilitate on-site and supplier inspections with the customer
  • Support the proposal process as needed by estimating labor and effort
  • Lead product sell-off with customer by preparing and presenting required documentation


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and related experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the program/product lifecycle in the areas of new business pursuit, design, supply chain management, receiving operations, inventory control, production control, product test & evaluation, reliability, root cause analysis, product sell off, shipping and product support as they apply to quality
  • Knowledge in the areas of design, production, product evaluation and reliability, inspection/test, and/or contract review as they apply to product or process quality.
  • Experience working directly with customers and vendors
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills
  • Able to interface with all functions and levels within an organization to accomplish objectives
  • Experience with root cause and corrective action methods
  • Experience in procedure writing and data analysis


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience performing as a quality engineer or inspector for a D.O.D supplier
  • Experience with optical devices and optical fiber
  • Knowledge of PCB workmanship standards and inspection methods
  • Experience working under an AS9100 Quality Management System
  • ASQ certification
