Your Role
Quality Assurance Inspector – Swing Shift (+ Signing Bonus!)
Shift and Hours: 1st Shift - 6:00am to 2:30pm
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Compensation: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, DOE
As a QA Inspector, you’ll ensure the crate manufacturing processes and procedures are met to meet our customer standards and requirements. You will also visually inspect or manually test products or processes throughout the full manufacturing process. You’ll also record, monitor, and analyze data to send reports to the Operations, Sr. Management and Quality teams
We require steel toed shoes/boots for your safety. If you don’t own a pair, we’ll reimburse up to $30
Signing Bonus Details
Based on your date of hire and the milestones defined below, you are eligible for a Signing Bonus (Gross Pay) with us
- After 3 months from date of hire, you will receive $300.00 in Gross Pay in the following paycheck cycle
- After 6 months from date of hire, you will receive $700.00 in Gross Pay in the following paycheck cycle
Inspection of Crates
- Through measurements and visual inspection, accept or reject completed work products by verifying the product or process meets the customer specifications and requirements
- Inspect product or process with specialized tools, a process that may include weighing or measuring finished products, assessing moisture content of wood, visually inspecting workmanship and/or gauging product reliability
- Use of proprietary software to track and update quality data
- Reviews specifications, standards and/or test plans of customer designs, and reports feedback to the Design department.
- Reviews, implements and follows up on corrective actions derived from customer complaints, customer returns, and/or non-conformances found and their root causes.
- Participates in ISO audits to ensure local and company-wide compliance to specified standards.
- If errors or non-conformances are uncovered during the assembly process, gives feedback to Production department verbally or through written documentation
Required
- 3 months of experience in carpentry, construction and/or landscaping
- Use of dimensional and electrical power tools and motorized equipment
- Basic computer skills to use Ops Center to log in & out of jobs with employee ID number
- 6 months to 1 year of wood products manufacturing experience
- 1 year of quality inspection experience
- Proficient (intermediate) in the MS Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to learn proprietary software
- High School diploma or GED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to read tape measure in ¼ and ⅛, etc. gradients
- Experience in blueprint and design reading helpful
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment
