We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Quality Assurance Manager within our Quality team to help support our Bedding business. As a Quality Assurance Manager you will have the opportunity to oversee the quality process to ensure consistent standards. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring all products meet customer expectations and demands. So, what will you be doing as a Quality Assurance Manager?

  • Develop and Lead vision and roadmap for Quality Assurance program.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards
  • Responsible for customer complaint resolution. Leads cross-functional team to countermeasure and resolve chronic non-conformities and customer complaints.
  • Develop and implement quality metrics to measure performance of quality assurance program.
  • Develop Quality Control Plans for all new programs. Revise existing control plans for existing product lines as needed.
  • Work closely with Corporate Quality Management to ensure idea sharing and standardization.
  • Evaluate data to improve product and/or processes ensuring the highest quality products and services.
  • Set up and maintain quality process controls and documentation
  • Act as a liaison with customers' auditors and ensure completion and execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications
  • Set Quality Assurance compliance objectives and ensure KPI targets are achieved
  • Manage and maintain the company's quality inspection and product release programs
  • Continuous Improvement Coordinator within the branch


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance
  • 5 years or more experience in quality management related field
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Demonstrated success in a leadership and team building role, with ability to coach
  • and develop direct and indirect reports.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and fundamentals desired.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Knowledge with Infinity QS software
  • Lean or Six Sigma GB or BB certification preferred.
  • Ability to Travel Required
