Quality Ironworks has an immediate opening for an experienced QA/QC Manager. Working in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.
Quality Ironworks is looking for a reliable Manager of Quality Assurance to ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before our product reaches our customers. You will be responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues. The ideal candidate is a reliable and competent professional. The goal is to assure the high quality of our operations and services aiming toward the long-term success of our organization.
Must be able to stand/be on feet for most of the business day. Bending, kneeling, and reaching to measure parts. May occasionally need to climb a ladder. Will work in temperatures that are representative of an open working shop environment as well as an office setting. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues
- Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output
- Appraise customers’ requirements and make sure they are satisfied
- Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action
- Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
- Develop, review, and maintain quality assurance standards, policies and processes for performance improvement
- Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards, including AISC, internal and external audits.
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
- Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Supervisory skills to mentor and advise staff, assign, and evaluate work and review staff performance
- Reliable and Trustworthy
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a quality assurance manager or relevant role, preferably within a steel/industrial manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in successfully leading/managing internal/external audits
- Valid Driver's License
