Quality Assurance Support

NDI Engineering Company is seeking a part-time (20-30/wk) Quality Assurance specialist to join our team in Philadelphia and with supporting quality management activities to the US Navy.

The candidate will be proficient in reading and understanding electro-mechanical engineering drawings, technical specifications and procedures. Adherence to written policies and work instructions is a must.

The candidate will be proficient in working with computer programs such as Micrsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and TEAMs

A willingness to learn and collaborate in high-involvement work team environment under the supervision of lead engineers.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and recommend procedures and work instructions in accordance with the commands Quality Management System for Government approval.

The Contractor shall review quality systems, procedures, and in-process work processes in accordance with (IAW) US Navy Quality Management Procedures (QMP).

Update various tracking spreadsheets as needed and enter in government shared drive.

Develop on-site surveillance attribute list using engineering drawings, applicable specifications as well as contract requirements.

Perform on-site surveillances (structural, electrical, mechanical) on multiple test sites through NSWCPD containing hazards typical for industrial plants. Witness perform, observe, and report the inspection of structural, electrical, mechanical systems under production contracts IAW QMP.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.

High School diploma, Technical School Certificate desired by not required, or related Military experience.

Five (5) years of experience with Quality Assurance/Control, specifically the drafting and implementation of QA plans and documentation. Experience with quality assurance/control for military (Navy preferred) project and/or programs recommended.

Experience may be gained concurrently

This work is NOT remote. Working in the Philadelphia Naval Business Center (Philadelphia, PA) is required.

Good verbal and written communications skills along with ability to implement feedback from engineers, follow work instructions and work somewhat independently are highly desirable traits.
