Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays, as needed.

The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) will act as the on-site quality control point of contact for the location to which they are assigned. The QCI is the first-line inspection authority for ensuring contractual requirements are met and senior management is made aware of issues to the contrary. The QCI is authorized to commit the organization’s resources as necessary to perform the requirements of the contract quality control program. The QCI will support the Corporate QC Department. The QCI must have the skills, knowledge, and experience to manage various aspects of the contract.

The Quality Control Inspector has a wide range of responsibilities, which may include, but not limited to:

  • Achieves quality control operational objectives for both the Contract Site(s) and the Corporate QC Division by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews
  • Prepare and complete action plans; implement productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identify and resolve problems; complete audits; determine system improvements; implement change.
  • Performs quality inspections based on an inspection schedule and generates various reports by using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as required by the contract and senior management.
  • Maintain and improve service quality by completing company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, as well as investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Ensures facility inventory is accurately maintained and updated within CMMS.
  • Design a schedule of quality inspections based on risk factors and priority.
  • Accomplishes quality control objectives by assisting with recruiting, selecting, training, scheduling, counseling, enforcing policies, and disciplining employees.
  • Develop and maintain quality control plans by identifying critical control points and preventive measures; incorporating quality assurance standards set by the customer, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing service specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends including failed processes, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Conducts safety inspections of project facilities and work tasks; inputs findings into the QC system and submits findings/reports to the customer, senior management and others as required
  • Maintain and enforce safety and health programs that comply with EM 385-1-1 and applicable OSHA, DOD, Armed Forces, federal, state, and local safety, environmental and health requirements.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management and safety; participating in educational opportunities; maintaining professional networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances division and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Obtains field information/specifications and prepare estimates for work added to or deleted from the contract.
  • Other tasks directed by the Quality Control Coordinator and Senior Management.
  • Serve as Project Manager alternate or interim in the absence of the Project Manager.
  • Obtains and maintains required security clearance and complies with the Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Provides a safe and positive environment in support of the organization’s objectives, mission, and core values.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work and leadership experience in a multi-location environment
  • ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate
  • ASC Certified Quality Inspector
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Certified Environmental Services Executives (CESE)
  • Knowledge of Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) certification process
  • Experience with Labor Unions, regulatory labor laws, and working with individuals with disabilities
  • Other certifications appropriate in the industry

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry course or ability to acquire certification within 30 days of employment
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Control principles and related software
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, make decisions, and solve problems quickly
  • Ambitious and target focused with a drive to succeed
  • Ability to effectively delegate and develop team members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Keen eye to detail
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws, procedures, as well as wage and labor laws
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field
